Kingston Fourths 2-0 University College London Fourths

Two second half goals were enough to secure a comfortable home win for Kingston University men's fourths against University College London men's fourths.

Kingston started the game disappointingly, with little ball retention in the final third. However this changed at half time when they brought on Simon Rayfield to give a different option up front. Within minutes the move had paid off as Rayfield threaded a ball through to strike partner Davis Anyanwu, who dodged the goalkeeper to fire high into an empty net.

The second goal came fifteen minutes later when Rayfield latched on to a through ball, lobbing it over the on-rushing goalkeeper.First goal scorer Davis Anyanwu

There was almost another goal for Anyanwu, who clipped the bar after UCL failed to clear. The second year had already been denied by the crossbar in the first half after a weaving run.

He said: "I wasn't happy with my performance early on, but I was carrying an injury. I just wanted to get a goal for the team then come off".

The win, their third of the season, maintains a 100 per cent league record for the fourths. They sit top of the BUCS South Eastern Sixth Division.
