Passport2Guides is the brainchild of five postgraduate students who ran a small business as part of their MA in the Creative Industries.  They promptly found their niche and set about constructing Passport2Guides, a comprehensive guide for what's on and where you should be.

"We discovered a gap in the market for comprehensive, up-to-date, youth-friendly information on Kingston. It's especially good for international students," says art editor of the project, Cristina Nualart.  

With just five people on the task, all the students have to get stuck into the work."I wouldn't say that any one of us has a job description that is set in stone.  We all have different specialities but we have all crossed over with our roles to maintain flexibility," says Cristina.

The project originally stemmed from the group's own experiences of not knowing what was on in the area, despite most of them living less than five miles from Kingston. Their goal? "To create something we can be proud of."

The resulting website is a Kingston-based version of Spoonfed, incorporating everything from galleries to places to eat; not to mention the regular competitions and freebies.  It's nice, clean, bright, easy to use, and best of all, it's completely free.
